SCINTREX CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF DOING BUSINESS

Scintrex held a 40th Anniversary celebration during the Exploration 2007 conference held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto in September 2007.  Dr. Harold O. Seigel, founder of Scintrex, was present to express his best wishes.  Mr. Chris Nind, President and CEO, formally thanked all in attendance for their support over our 40 year history.  In attendance were customers, agents, competitors, employees and former employees, all enjoying the festivities.  There were even some former employees that started with Scintrex back in 1967 present to honour Scintrex's longevity.  A great evening of food and music was enjoyed by all, highlighed with a very luxuriant cake.

THE CG-5 IN ACTION

A CG-5 user, Daishsat Geodetic Surveyors of Australia, has sent us the following pictures of the CG-5 at work in Australia.

Scintrex would like to thank Mr. Leon Matthews and Mr. David Daish for the use of these pictures.

Another CG-5 user, Geoscott Exploration Consultants, is using the CG-5 in Newfoundland, Canada.

CSEG Lunchbox Geophysics Group

On May 9, 2006, Chris Nind gave a talk to the CSEG Lunchbox Geophysics group in Calgary, Alberta, titled "4D Gravity".  He presented the results of the first year of an ongoing time lapse absolute gravity survey to monitor a waterflood operation at Prudhoe Bay as well as an update of the state of the art in borehole gravity technology.  The talk generated many questions from the audience.

Scintrex Agency Seminar – May 2006

In May 2006 Scintrex held their annual Agency Seminar in Toronto.  This popular event is an excellent opportunity to make personal contacts and to bring our agents fully up to date with both Scintrex and Micro-g LaCoste products and plans.  The knowledge gained by the participants during the full week of presentations by our sales team and senior management equips them to effectively and enthusiastically promote our company worldwide.

10 agents attended the May 2006 seminar:

Sandip Goswami representing Nexterra Geophysical Solutions Pvt. Ltd., India

Sunny Sun representing Baset Technology & Engineering Inc., Taiwan

Bernard Compaore representing ASI-BF Achats-Service International, Burkina Faso

Chief Nath I. Onwu representing Fatima Nigeria Limited, Nigeria

Won-Sik Seo representing CH Trading Corporation, Korea

Sung-Il Choi representing CH Trading Corporation, Korea

Emamgholi Yousefi representing Zamin Physics Services, Iran

Siripong Sithiburana representing Survey Engineer Intertech, Thailand

Khaled Hangari representing Geotip, Libya

Thank you for making the May 2006 Agency Seminar successful and enjoyable.  We look forward to our next Agency Seminar in May 2007 and we encourage agents who have not recently attended this annual event to consider contacting us about coming.

Demonstration of the CG-5 at Bungonia National Park, NSW, Australia

In October of 2005, Scintrex Limited gave a demonstration of the CG-5 to personnel and invited scientific experts of the United Nations Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).

Many other manufacturers were also invited to demonstrate the capabilities of their respective instrumentation.

The purpose of the demonstration was to verify the capabilities of the CG-5 in detecting underground caves.

HAINES SURVEYS, AUSTRALIA

Just a note to show you the CG-5 in action in Australia!  The photos were taken in the Pilbara, Western Australia (mountainous area by Australian standards!) for a diamond project, 25 m intervals.

We have had this meter since July 2004.  It worked continuously from July to December and never missed a beat.  The crews enjoy using it because it is lighter and very robust in rugged terrain.

Backpacking the CG-5 is great in rugged terrain.   We completed a 500m interval survey with up to 15m walking per day in rugged scrub country and the meter was fantastic.

Well done to the Scintrex team on a great meter.  We are looking forward to the next one.

Regards,

Richard Haines
