MAGNETICS
sdf

Scintrex offers the highest quality Optically pumped Cesium sensors. The latest model CS-3 sensor offers unsurpassed performance as an industry standard. The CS-3 improves upon the proved and widely popular CS-2

GRADIOMETRY
asdf

Scintrex vertical and horizontal gradiometer systems feature two or more Scintrex CS-3 high-resolution cesium magnetometer sensors. In addition to the vertical magnetic gradient, these systems also provide the total field and horizontal gradient magnetic value with a resolution of 0.001nT sampled at 10 times/second. Various custom magnetic arrays are available tailored for different applications and aircraft/vehicle installations.
sad

There are many reasons why the CS-3 is considered superior:

  • It provides superior resolution of closely spaced responses.
  • It provides superior resolution in zones of steep gradient (closely spaced contour values) than that of total field data.
  • It provides superior resolution in zones of high magnetic amplitude.
  • It responds best to surface effects and effectively eliminates deep seated effects.
  • It is better suited for geological mapping than a standard single sensor total field magnetometer survey.
  • The zero gradient contour corresponds to the contact of geological bodies, particularly if the dip is 90 degrees.
  • Regional magnetic gradients and diurnal variations are automatically removed and, therefore, do not affect vertical gradient measurements.
  • Fully corrected magnetic residual maps of the total field can be calculated and produced directly from the gradient results.

Integration with state-of-the-art geophysical instrumentation and GPS navigation instrumentation of the latest technology is provided by highly experienced and knowledgeable professional operations personnel.
Magnetometer / Gradiometer survey applications include:

  • Diamond exploration surveys using a system equipped with vertical gradiometer and VLF sensors for detecting kimberlite pipes and related geological structures.
  • Mineral exploration and/or ground water surveys using a multi-sensor system, including VLF and gamma ray spectrometer, for mapping structure and alteration zones.
  • Oil and gas surveys using a system equipped with magnetometer/vertical gradiometer system, for mapping basement structure and hydrocarbon alteration plumes and for detecting 'micro-mag" anomalies of <1 nT.
  • High-resolution surveys using a system equipped with a magnetometer/vertical gradiometer system for environmental and engineering applications.

RADIOMETRICS
Multi-Channel Gamma Ray Spectrometer System.
The system provides 256-channels of information from both the downward and upward looking sensor arrays. Sensor volumes vary with application and are limited also by the capacity of the aircraft but as a rule, we provide 16.8 litres (1024 in3) of sensor for measuring terrestrial radiation (downward looking) and 4.2 litres (256 in3) of sensor for monitoring atmospheric radiation (upward looking).
A fully Integrated system for gamma radiation detection with automatic spectrum stabilization, automatic calibration and data synchronization to GPS time.

Environmental Monitoring System.

sadf

A gamma radiation system containing all components for detection, estimation and delimitation of elevated levels of radioactive contamination. The system may be deployed using various platforms of aircraft and ground transport. System provides measurements in absolute units and allows the use of both a Geographical and radiation background database.
